TMJ (TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT) DISORDER

TMJ disorder can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement. The exact cause of a person’s TMJ disorder is often difficult to determine. 

Signs of TMD include:

  • pain around your jaw, ear and temple
  • clicking, popping or grinding noises when you move your jaw
  • a headache around your temples
  • difficulty opening your mouth fully
  • your jaw locking when you open your mouth

The pain may be worse when chewing and when you feel stressed.

TMJ disorder can also stop you getting a good night’s sleep.

TMJ disorder can and will affect the rest of your body balances.


Working on TMJ is a specialised field, by trained Practitioners who has undergone specialised TMJ training. This will include working on Cranium with TMJ work for various conditions  which includes jaw, face, neck & shoulder. This is specialised work to help you with headaches, jaw joint disorder, deep jaw pain, dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus, uneven teeth, twitching of face/eye muscles, bruxism, poor bite alignment that includes occlusal imbalances/malocclusions, whiplash/trauma/accident/injury to neck/jaw or head. chronic illnesses, displacement of TM discs, malformations of face, neck and jaw.
